BXD (Extended Base Station Distributor) is used to enhance the reachability of XBSs from corVAN. BXD connects to corVAN on two E1 (G.703) links through copper, fiber or radio. It connects up to four Base Stations on twisted pair to provide coverage to subscriber pockets. Multiple BXDs can be collocated for larger subscriber concentrations.

The BXD provides 1+1 redundant power supply and feeds power (120V DC) to XBS. For easy management, BXD has a inbuilt LCD display and Keypad interface to get status of Base Stations and links locally at the BXD site and also to perform selected control functions.
