corVAN is the Base Station Controller (BSC) for the ^BroadbandcorDECT Fixed Wireless Access system which provides Toll-Quality Voice and 512 kbps Data Service. One corVAN supports 80 Base Stations and can handle 5000 subscribers. corVAN interconnects the Base Station and the backbone network.

corVAN interfaces with the Base Stations, directly using xDSL links or through a Base Station Distributor using E1 links
It interfaces with the internet backbone network to provide data service using Copper or Fibre GigE/FE links
It interfaces with the Parent Exchange to provide Voice service using E1 links running V5.2, SS7, R2MF protocols
